HCC looks back at MLK’s ‘Dream’ speech

Hopkinsville Community College hosted a breakfast Thursday morning to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s ‘I have a Dream’ speech.

The keynote speaker was the Rev. Roland Butler, III, who works in HCC Student Support Services and who is pastor of Princeton St. Baptist Church in Crofton. Bulter says Dr. King’s crusade for freedom changed hearts through non-violence.

He encouraged the crowd of students, faculty and staff to build on Dr. King’s dream.

Attendees listened to Dr. King’s speech in its entirety following Rev. Butler’s remarks.
