Hopkinsville Police arrested a woman Tuesday evening for allegedly making threatening Facebook posts following a real-world altercation with neighbors.
Officers were on East 21st Street investigating a disturbance involving 33-year old Shawana Denise Brodie and several neighbors, according to an arrest citation. They were clearing the scene when a witness showed officers Facebook posts made by Brodie where she said, “You better hope your daughters make it on the bus,” and “You better hope you and your kids make it through the night.”
Police say the disturbance involved Brodie and several juveniles besides her own and that Brodie was the only person with access to her own Facebook.
She was arrested for retaliating against a participant in a legal process.
