Retired Hopkinsville Police detective Chuck Inman will announce his candidacy for Christian County Sheriff later this week.
The Republican who ran unsuccessful campaigns against Sheriff Livy Leavell in 2006, 2010 and 2014, says in a Facebook post that he will officially announce his candidacy at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Dukes Bar and Grill at 4011 Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Hopkinsville Police Lieutenant Tyler DeArmond is the only other Republican currently on the ballot. Sheriff’s Sgt. James Dragoo, Lieutenant Lyn Moe, Kahle Morris and Hopkinsville Police Officer Julius Catlett are running as Democrats.
