Man flown to Nashville hospital after vehicle fire

A man was flown to a Nashville hospital following a vehicle fire early Tuesday morning at the Love’s Truck Stop on the south side of Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Public Information Officer Payton Rogers says two stations responded to Loves Truck Stop just before 4:45 a.m. and found a vehicle under the canopy fully involved in fire.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and while the male driver of the vehicle was able to get away from the car, he sustained injuries and was flown by Air Evac to a Nashville hospital.

Rogers says there was minimal heat damage to the gas pumps at Love’s.
