Applications now accepted for new housing development for college students

Applications are now being accepted for a spot in Hopkinsville’s newest housing development, New Horizon Scholar House, located on Glass Avenue.

Housing Authority of Hopkinsville Executive Director Vickie Smiley says the development consists of 48 two and three bedrooms apartments specifically built for full time students and their families.    Tenants must be attending Hopkinsville Community College, Murray State University or Austin Peay State University.

Day Care will be provided by Audubon Area Head Start.  Rent is based on income and utilities are included in rent.

Applications are being taken at the Housing Authority of Hopkinsville office at 400 North Elm Street or they can be downloaded at housingah.org.
