Woman arrested for meth possession

A woman was arrested by Hopkinsville Police Monday at a Butler Road residence on drug charges.

Officers were speaking to 32-year old Rachel Griggs of Hopkinsville at 2309 Butler and could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the home, according to an arrest citation, which says she retreated back inside while being questioned and attempted to shut the door on the officers.

A search warrant was obtained and police say they found a small bag of methamphetamine and glass pipes.

Griggs was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and obstructing government operations.
