Hopkinsville woman arrested in Logan Co. for drug charges

A traffic stop on US 68 in Logan County Saturday afternoon led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville woman on drug charges.

Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Brent stopped 41-year old Felicia Williams of Hopkinsville for speeding on US 68 near Rock Lane at about 5:30 p.m., according to a news release, which says she had red bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

Police say there was an odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle and a search allegedly revealed three bags of marijuana, two rolled marijuana cigarettes and a pill later determined to be Hydrocodone.

Williams was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, prescription pill not in the proper container, DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was additionally charged with unlawful transaction with a minor for allegedly allowing her 16-year old son to smoke marijuana in the vehicle with her.
