An accident in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter Monday afternoon injured a local man.
The incident happened about 1:15 p.m., according to the city police report, which says 18-year old Jar’Quevion Kendrick of Hopkinsville was driving the wrong way down the parking lane and 22-year old Helen Gibson of Cadiz was backing out of a spot.
Gibson said she looked behind her, but didn’t expect for a car to come from the opposite direction and she struck Kendrick’s car.
Kendrick complained of back pain and was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Gibson was not injured.
