Absentee ballots available now, in person absentee voting begins May 7

Paper absentee ballots are already being distributed for the May primary election and in-person absentee voting begins in Christian County in less than two weeks.

Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries says there’s still no early voting in Kentucky, but more people can use the in-person absentee voting under new guidelines.

If you can’t make it to your polling place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on May 22 and you want a paper absentee ballot to mail in, you can call the Christian County Clerk’s Office at 270-887-4105.

All Democrats and Republicans in Christian County can vote in the primary, while independents and others will have to wait until November.
