Thirteen local students named Gov. Scholars

Thirteen Christian County Public School System students have been named members of the Governor’s Scholars Program for 2018.

The program for rising high school seniors takes place over the summer and provides academic and personal growth opportunity for students through the balance of a strong liberal arts program, a co-curriculum of related activities, and a residential life experience at one of three state universities: Northern Kentucky, Morehead State, and Murray State.

Representing Christian County High School in this year’s class are Taylor Blakely, Gracie Garrett, Payton Hale, and Lukas Ferrell. Hopkinsville High School representatives are Riley Fort, Sydni Henagan, Lexy Oatts, Ethan Bailey, Koby Batts, Aaron Crosby, Spencer Walker, Dustin Wilcox, and Hayden Woosley.
