An investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department on Coopertown Road Wednesday afternoon led to two arrests on drug charges.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance after a motorist reported seeing a man assaulting a woman inside a vehicle. A news release says police found 24-year old Nathanshia Haskins and 25-year old Glennis Ligon—both of Russellville—and that they denied any physical altercation had occurred.

There was an odor of marijuana coming from the car and a search allegedly revealed marijuana, cocaine and prescription medication.

Haskins was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and prescription medication not in the proper container. Ligon was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and prescription medication not in the proper container.
