Woman hurt in accident on Hawthorne Drive

A single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Hawthorne Drive injured the driver.

It happened about 1:40 p.m. at 709 Hawthorne, where 69-year old Norma Lewis-Walker of Hopkinsville was trying to back into a driveway when she said her gas pedal stuck and caused her to strike a shed.

The Hopkinsville Police report says she then pulled forward and struck a neighbor’s fence and tree.

Lewis-Walker went by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of chest pain.
