A man escaped serious injury Thursday morning after his pickup rolled into a home on Hillside Terrace.
It happened a few minutes after 11 a.m. in the 200 block of Hillside and Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Rico Rodriguez says the pickup had faulty brakes and was being held in place by a rock in the driveway.
The man removed the rock because he was going to move the pickup and it began rolling before he was prepared.
He tried jumping into the pickup and was dragged down the driveway and into a small ditch, causing him to be struck on the head by the door jamb. The pickup continued rolling backwards across the street and struck the front of the house across the street, causing minor structural damage.
The man suffered a laceration to his head, but refused an ambulance trip to the hospital.
