A traffic stop by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department Monday night led to the arrest of a woman for methamphetamine trafficking.
Deputy Clevin Robinson stopped 47-year old Joseph Goodin of Auburn on Walnut Street at Jessie Avenue for having a broken taillight, according to a report.
Goodin gave police consent to search his vehicle and police say a baggie of meth was found in the purse of a passenger, 34-year old Jennifer Owens of Auburn. A piece of a hypodermic needle without the syringe body was also found.
As she was being transported to jail, deputies say she attempted to conceal marijuana in the rear seat of the cruiser.
Owens was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, second-degree wanton endangerment and possession of marijuana.
Goodin was cited into court for improper equipment and for not being in possession of his driver’s license.
