Man indicted in March Clarksville fatal wreck

The Clarksville Police Department has charged a man with reckless homicide in connection with a March fatal crash the killed an unborn child and caused multiple injuries to two other victims.

According to a news release, the wreck occurred on March 3 in the area of Purple Heart Highway and Evans Road when a vehicle operated by a 37-year old woman was struck by a vehicle driven by 21-year old Gregory Pierre-Louis while attempting to make a left turn onto Evans Road.  Pierre-Louis was allegedly operating the vehicle in a reckless manner and at speeds of 95 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone when the collision occurred.  He had reportedly been unable to stop in time to avoid the wreck.

The crash resulted multiple injuries to the 37 year old woman, juvenile, and the death of the juvenile’s unborn child.

Pierre-Louis was indicted by a September grand jury on charges of vehicular homicide by recklessness, two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and speeding. He was arrested and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
