The Christian County Colonel Band was named grand champion at the 5th Annual McCracken County Mustang “Music in Motion” Competition Saturday.
That’s according to Director of Bands Anthony Darnall, who says the Colonel Band also received Best Overall Color Guard and Percussion as well as Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and first place in Class AAA.
Darnall says, “I am beyond proud of our students’ hard work and dedication to the program and can’t wait to see what the season holds for the Colonel Band. I am equally as thankful to the dedicated staff and parents who help make the season possible.”
The Colonel Band will be traveling to the Russellville High School “Show of Bands” for competition this weekend. This year the Colonel Band is marching 105 students with their show entitled “The Power of One.”
