Todd Fiscal Court voted Friday afternoon to keep its property tax rate the same and Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield appointed a Natural Gas District Board.
Magistrates unanimously approved final reading of an ordinance to keep the rate on real property at 9.9 cents per $100 of assessed value, according to minutes from the meeting.
Final reading of a vicious animal ordinance was also approved. It specifies criteria that can be used to classify a roaming dog or other animal as ‘vicious.’ The parameters include unprovoked bites to humans or other domestic animals and unprovoked animals acting in a terrorizing manner toward a person in a place outside of its owner’s property.
Owners of vicious animals could be cited for amounts between 25 and 250 dollars and could potentially face up to 90 days in jail.
Judge Mansfield appointed Johnny Knuckles, Deana Power, Gary Traughber, Eston Glover and Jimmy Turner to the Todd County Natural Gas District Board.
The district was established in July and could tap into the proposed Clarksville pipeline to provide service to unserved areas of Todd County, if that project comes to fruition.
