Details have been released by the Clarksville Police Department about the two killed and one injured in a shooting incident on Dandelion Court Thursday night.
The female victim has been identified as 50-year Janie Brown and the suspected shooter—who was found dead inside the residence—as her husband, 56-year old Timothy Brown. The other victim, a 19-year old male, is reportedly not a family member and his identity is not being released, and he is expected to recover from his injuries.
As previously reported, officers responded for reports of shots fired to a residence on Dandelion Court around 9 p.m. and upon arrival, gunfire was heard coming from the home. Janie Brown and the 19-year old had been struck by gunfire and were located outside of the residence.
Using tactical shields, officers were able to retrieve Janie Brown from the porch and bring her to medical personnel. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the male victim was flown to a Nashville hospital.
The shooter was believed to still be inside of the house so the house was surrounded and CPD’s Tactical Unit and Crisis Negotiators were called to the scene. The incident closed Tiny Town Road in the interest of safety. Shortly before 1 a.m. officers made entry inside of the residence and found Timothy Brown, believed to be the shooter, deceased inside of the garage.
The investigation continues.
