The Knoxville News Sentinel reports suspended University of Tennessee cornerback Bryce Thompson has a September 23rd preliminary hearing on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge. Thompson appeared for arraignment in Knox County General Sessions Court last week. He was arrested August 24th after authorities say he got into an alleged altercation with a woman on the UT campus. The attorney for the 19-year-old Thompson says the victim never accused him of threatening her in a statement to Knoxville police.
