Timothy Madden pled guilty yesterday in Allen Circuit Court to the November, 2015 murder and kidnapping of 7-year old Gabbi Doolin at a football game in Scottsville.
Madden also entered an Alford plea to the rape and sodomy charges, meaning he did not admit to the crimes, but acknowledged the Commonwealth likely had enough evidence to convict him. The plea deal comes with a recommended sentence of life without the possibility of parole and final sentencing is set for October 24, according to WBKO TV.
Gabbi Doolin was at a youth football game with her family on the campus of Allen County Scottsville on the evening of November 14, 2015 when she went missing. Her body was found in a nearby creek and officials said DNA testing confirmed Madden was the perpetrator.
Madden avoids the death penalty under the plea deal, but would never have the possibility of being a free man again.
