Cadiz Police Department Chief Chad Grace resigned from that position Tuesday.
An employee at Cadiz City Hall confirmed Wednesday morning that Grace had resigned, but could not provide any other information.
Major Duncan Wiggins is now overseeing operations of the department.
Grace had been chief since 2013 and began as an officer with Cadiz Police in 2006.
