Man arrested for meth possession in Lowes parking lot

An investigation of a man talking to hand tools and sleeping in a hot car at Lowes in Hopkinsville Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Paducah man on methamphetamine charges.

Employees of the store told police that 46-year old Timothy Skinner of Paducah exited the store after talking to tools inside and then got inside a hot vehicle that wasn’t running.

Officers found Skinner asleep in the vehicle about 1:15 p.m. and he gave consent to search his vehicle. An arrest citation says police found a baggie of a substance that Skinner admitted was methamphetamine and he confirmed it was his.

Skinner was arrested and charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and driving with a suspended license.
