A migrant farm worker was killed in a tractor accident near the Pembroke area Tuesday morning.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel identifies the victim as Jahir Hernandez of Mexico and says he had been attempting to turn left from Fidelio Road onto Bardwell Lane when he lost control of the tractor for unknown reasons and it overturned onto its side.
Hernandez was thrown to the ground and the tractor rolled over him. Hernandez, who was working for Rich Grove Farms, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
