The Pennyroyal Arts Council and Casey Jones Distillery are teaming up this Saturday to host the Lights Out Festival in honor of the 50th anniversary of the historic Woodstock concert.
The concert will take place at the distillery on Witty Lane and will feature a slew of musical acts, including Alonzo Pennington, The Woodstock Rock Orkestra, Mark Jones and Lee Carrol, all in the spirit of the music of the era Woodstock occurred. Appearing on WHOP News Wednesday, Arts Council Director Margaret Prim says tickets are still available in advance online and will be available on site the day of the concerts.
Peg Hayes says the gates open at 10 a.m. and music will fill the air throughout the day—the first 100 people will receive a special souvenir.
She says all money raised goes to the Pennyroyal Arts Council and the services and shows they offer.
Camping spots will be available for those who want to camp out the night before or that evening, with spots costing $10 a night. This is an all-age, family-friendly event and for more information, contact the Arts Council at (270) 887-4295 or Casey Jones distillery at (270) 839-9987.
