A man sought on warrants for drug trafficking is facing additional charges following a disturbance Monday morning at North Elm Street and Means Avenue.
Hopkinsville police officers were called to that to the area to check the welfare of an individual and made contact with 52-year old Cliffton Chester of Hopkinsville, who told police he didn’t want to go to jail and had his hand in his pocket, according to the report.
Police say he was manifestly under the influence of the influence of a substance and told police he wanted them to shoot him.
He was eventually arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was served with Christian County Grand Jury indictment warrants for trafficking in meth and for being a persistent felony offender.
