Unemployment was up from April to May in Christian County and it fell in Todd and Trigg counties.
Christian County’s jobless rate was 5.1 percent, up from 4.7 percent in April and up from an even 5 percent a year ago.
Todd County has the region’s lowest unemployment rate at 3.5 percent, down from 3.6 percent in April and down from 3.9 percent in May of 2018.
The unemployment rate in Trigg County was 4.1 percent, down from 4.5 percent in April and down from 4.6 percent a year ago.
Muhlenberg County had the region’s highest jobless rate at 5.9 percent. The state average was 4 percent in May and the national number was 3.4 percent.
