Woman arrested for burglary, threat to kill man

A Hopkinsville woman was arrested Wednesday morning for burglary and terroristic threatening.

An arrest citation for 28-year old Decora Cotton of Hopkinsville says she knocked on a man’s door on Hazel Street to confront him regarding a police report he filed against her. When he opened the door, Cotton allegedly pushed the man aside and entered the home to retrieve her possessions.

The victim told police he had advised the woman multiple times to not come to his home.

Cotton reportedly told the man that she would come back with a knife to stab and kill him. When she was given a trespass warning for the home following her arrest, she allegedly said she didn’t care and that she was going back.

Cotton is charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree terroristic threatening and intimidating a participant in the legal process.
