Muhlenberg pursuit ends in Logan County with arrest

A pursuit that began Monday in Muhlenberg County ended in Logan County with the arrest of the driver on multiple charges.

Muhlenberg County deputies responded to a parking lot in Dunmor, where the occupants of a parked vehicle appeared to be passed out.

The responding deputy determined the driver was Jon Stuart of Greenbrier, Tennessee, who was wanted on warrants out of the Volunteer State. He was also allegedly pulling a stolen trailer loaded with a stolen UTV.

Stuart allegedly fled the scene, striking Deputy Mike Robinson, and headed south on US 431 into Logan County, where deputies there joined the pursuit.

Police used spike strips to disable the SUV and Stuart was arrested on charges of DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property, reckless driving and for being a fugitive from another state.
