A group of about 40 teenagers and adults marched Monday night from Debow Park to the home of a 15-year old girl who recently took her own life in hopes of spreading the message that suicide is never the answer.
The event was organized by 14-year old India Smith, who is a student at Christian County High School. She says she and others wanted to do something during the sadness of losing their friend, Cynclaire Rogers, to suicide on May 17.
More than anything, Smith wants anyone considering suicide to know that it’s not the answer and that better days are coming.
Rogers’ family was among those in the march.
