Koepka in cruise control at PGA Championship

Brooks Koepka shattered another record while extending his lead at the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black. Koepka, the defending champion, followed up an opening-round 63 with a 65 to record the lowest 36-hole score ever in a major at 128, breaking the previous mark of 130 set most recently by Jordan Spieth at the 2015 Masters.

Spieth carded a second-round 66 to move into a tie for second along with Adam Scott, but the pair sit seven shots back of Koepka’s 12-under total. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker is tied for 36th at one over par.

A lot of notables failed to make the cut including Masters champion Tiger Woods, who fired a second round 73 to finish 5-over. Kentuckian JB Holmes also failed to make the cut.
