A woman was arrested by Hopkinsville police for burglary Saturday after she allegedly entered the home of a man after being warned to stay away.
Officers were called to the Hayes Street residence of Claude Russell just before noon after 47-year old Idella Green of Hopkinsville had made her way inside, according to an arrest citation, which says Green had been told to stay away on May 4th.
Police say Green was manifestly under the influence of alcohol and that she resisted officers as they took her into custody. Once inside a cruiser, she was able to maneuver and release one of her handcuffs.
Green is charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, resisting arrest and third-degree escape.
