Two men were injured in head-on collision Friday morning on US 79 in Todd County.
It happened about 7:45 a.m. just south of KY 102 near Allensville and Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner says 44-year old Jerry Cox of Russellville was operating a Cayce Mill Supply work truck southbound when he drifted into oncoming traffic.
He struck a northbound car operated by 32-year old Terry James of White House, Tennessee and both automobiles came to rest off the roadway.
Both drivers were taken by EMS to local hospitals, with Sgt. Turner saying Cox’s injuries were minor and James had severe injuries.
The Todd County Rescue Squad and Allensville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
