Man arrested after Lyon County hit and run

An arrest was made Saturday following a hit and run collision in Lyon County.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated and says 43-year old Phillip Jackson of Princeton was traveling on KY 1055 a little after 10 a.m. Saturday when he encountered a pickup parked in the roadway.

Jackson had to swerve to miss the truck and hit a dog in the road.

Jackson stopped and got out and was confronted by the driver of the parked truck, who was irate and menacing, according to a news release, which says Jackson got back inside his vehicle and dialed 911.

That’s when the driver of the parked truck, later identified as 22-year old Rylee Zajac of Eddyville, allegedly rammed the rear of Jackson’s pickup and then fled the scene.

Deputies located Zajac later in the day and arrested him for leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and no insurance and with improper registration.
