WHOP’er of an Egg Hunt a big success, despite cool weather

Unseasonably cool weather with light rain and wind didn’t stop a large crowd of youngsters and their families from gathering at Tie Breaker Park Saturday morning for the annual WHOP’er of an Egg Hunt.

Pam Rudd with Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation says the morning was a success.

The grand prize winner of $98.70 was six-year old Christopher Martin, who attends South Christian Elementary School.

Children eight-years old and younger made quick work of the 20,000 eggs, some filled with candy and some with slips of paper letting them know they won a prize.
