Greenville Police arrested three people Tuesday morning after a four-year old was found walking alone outside.
Officers were notified by a neighbor that a four-year old was walking alone in the area of Highland Drive, according to a news release.
Police went to the child’s home and found three adults. There was reportedly an odor of marijuana coming from the residence and officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside.
The parents, 29-year old Joseph Gunnels and 26-year old Amber Gunnels, and 25-year old Gage Duncan were all arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor. Joseph was also served with an outstanding warrant and the other two suspects were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A state social worker was contacted to assist with the child.
