Arrest made in Robertson County, Tenn. homicide

An arrest has been made in connection with a murder Monday night in Robertson County, Tennessee.

Robertson County deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a home on Jack Teasley Road and arrived to find 36-year old Christopher Lee Helser of Pleasant View dead from gunshot wounds.

The suspect, 21-year old Travis Presley of Pleasant View, had reportedly dialed 911 and then fled the scene. He was located down the road a short time later and was arrested for criminal homicide.

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Department says investigation determined Presley had been in an argument with Helser’s 17-year old son and that Presley allegedly shot Helser when he stepped in to intervene.
