MLB Roundup: Cards, Cubs & Braves win; Reds host Marlins tonight

Marcell Ozuna blasted a two-run home run as the St. Louis Cardinals rallied to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 at Busch Stadium. José Martínez added an RBI single for St. Louis. Miles Mikolas earned the win after allowing three runs on five hits in six innings. Game two of the series is this evening.

Ben Zobrist’s two-run single highlighted a six-run second inning as the Chicago Cubs crushed the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-0 in their home opener at Wrigley Field. Starter Jon Lester doubled in a run and scored in the frame, but left in the top of the third with hamstring tightness. The Cubs are off today before the series resumes tomorrow.

Ronald Acuna Jr. homered and Dansby Swanson drove in three runs as the Atlanta Braves beat the Colorado Rockies 8-6. Nick Markakis added three hits and two RBI for Atlanta, which is 6-and-1 since starting the season 0-and-3. Game two is this evening at Denver’s Coors Field.
