A Hopkinsville man was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center after his pickup slid through a stop sign Sunday.
The report from Hopkinsville Police Officer Andrew Hoffman says 21-year old Travis Putney of Hopkinsville had been eastbound on East 25th Street approaching the stop sign at South Walnut.
His pickup slid on the wet pavement as he attempted to stop, went through a row of bushes and struck a fence behind a home on Ginnie Lane.
Putney complained of chest pain and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
