The Hopkinsville Tigers blanked Warren Central 10-0 in 5 innings at the Florida Beach Bash in Fort Walton Beach on Wednesday. Jacob Dilday and Preston Chaudoin combined on a one hit shutout. Aaron Crosby was 2-3 at the plate with Layne Jorgensen hitting a home run.
The Tigers also stole 10 bases in the game with Ryan Myers swiping four bases. Hopkinsville is now 6-3 and will face Jeffersontown in their final game on Friday morning at 9 am.
University Heights fell to Martin Collegiate-Saskatchewan 12-6 Wednesday at the Disney Spring Training Classic in Orlando. The game was tied 3-3 before Martin Collegiate four times in the fifth inning and added two more runs in the 6th and three more runs in the 7th inning.
Drew McGowan went 2-3 at the plate with Tanner Thomas taking the pitching loss as the Blazers fell to 4-5 on the season. University Heights returns to action Monday against Livingston Central in the 2nd region All A Classic
