A traffic stop by Hopkinsville Police Monday on Dawson Springs Road led to the arrest of a Tennessee man on multiple charges.
Police stopped 20-year old Kameron Murray of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, knowing he had an active criminal summons that needed to be served.
There was an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the report, which says a search revealed a loaded handgun, a loaded magazine, the burnt remnants of a marijuana cigarette and several baggies. The gun was in a hollow compartment behind the dashboard, according to police, which says it was loaded with a hollow-point round.
Murray was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana, use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
