MLB Roundup: Reds, Cardinals, Braves & Cubs all lose Sunday

Trevor Williams and three relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Pittsburgh Pirates blanked the Cincinnati Reds 5-0 Sunday. Joey Votto had two of the Reds’ four hits. Sonny Gray gave up three runs, two earned, in less than three innings to take the loss in his Cincinnati debut.

The Reds will welcome the first-place Milwaukee Brewers tonight as Tanner Roark goes against Zach Davis for Milwaukee. Pregame at 5:10 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.

In other National League action: Milwaukee rallied for a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Redbirds open a series tonight in Pittsburgh.
The Atlanta Braves fell to 0-3 to open the season following a 5-1 loss at Philadelphia. The Braves welcome the Chicago Cubs for their home opener this evening.

Interleague: Joey Gallo scored on a walk-off wild pitch as the Texas Rangers beat the Chicago Cubs 11-10 in the series finale in Arlington. The Rangers won two of three in the series.
