Freeze Warning issued for Sunday night, Monday morning

A Freeze Warning is in effect for Sunday night and Monday morning for all of western Kentucky and middle Tennessee.

Temperatures are forecast to fall into the upper 20’s by early Monday morning, likely to cause damage to sensitive vegetation left uncovered.

With clearing skies and diminishing winds, a widespread frost is expected to accompany these sub-freezing temperatures Sunday night.

Frost will be possible again Monday night, but temperatures shouldn’t fall any lower than the lower to mid-30’s.

Gusty winds knocked down trees across the north end of Christian County Saturday afternoon, with ECC noting trees blown down on Grapevine Road, North Greenville Road and KY 800.
