University Heights Academy had its season ending banquet last night celebrating the All A State Champion and 2nd region runner up Blazers and All A participant Lady Blazers.
Blazer seniors KyKy Tandy, Drew McGowan and TaQuan Hollowell were honored with DJ Quarles winning the 6th man award, Will Bryan the 110% award and KJ Crump was honored for most steals and assists.
On the girls side, Lady Blazer seniors Alex Juckett, Aisha Pantiere and Anna Moore received honors with Lily Hendricks receiving awards for Offensive Player of the Year, field goal, three point and free throw percentage, Meghan Adams won most improved and shared rebound award honors with Aisha Pantiere and Alex Juckett won Defensive Player of the Year.
Blazer Drew McGowan won the first Dick Weaver Award, given in honor of the late athletic director. The Weaver Award recognizes one who shows the spirit of a Blazer.
