The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced $398,253 in discretionary funds have been awarded to the Todd County Fiscal Court for work on Miller Valley Road, Pond River Road and Goodman Road.
Resurfacing repairs will address existing surface cracks, potholes, rutting, crumbling shoulders and base failures. Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield identified those roads as being among the most critical in the county.
Judge Executive Mansfield thanked Governor Matt Bevin and Transportation Cabinet officials for the funding, saying, “Miller Valley Road, Pond River Road and Goodman Road are highly traveled county roads connecting north Todd to US 68-80. The approval of these funds shows the concern Governor Bevin has for infrastructure and safety for all Kentuckians.”
Representative Jason Petrie says, “These projects will keep those who live and work in Todd County safe, and ensures that we maintain economic development opportunities in southwestern Kentucky.”
Todd County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work, and KYTC will reimburse the county for the projects.
