Hancock’s stellar pitching helps Lady Tigers softball down UHA

Marley Hancock struck out 10 batters and allowed one run and one hit as Hopkinsville downed University Heights 12-1 in five innings yesterday. The Lady Tigers had just four hits themselves, but scored five runs in the first inning, three in the third and four in the fourth to get the win to go to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district play. UHA’s lone hit and run were scored by Becca Fitzpatrick, with Rachel Snyder taking the pitching loss as the Lady Blazers fell to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in district play.
