A man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
It happened about 4:30 a.m. and a Hopkinsville Police report says 50-year old Jimmie Springer of Drakesboro had been northbound when he struck the guard rail at the intersection of East 21st Street, Walnut Street, and Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Springer was asleep when police found the vehicle and had no memory of the crash. He told police he is diabetic.
Springer was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of neck, back, chest and shoulder pain. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
