Investigation by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department has led to a local woman being arrested for allegedly cashing forged checks.
Hopkinsville Police served 30-year old Heather Ballard of Hopkinsville with a warrant Saturday afternoon at the jail for two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
A warrant obtained by the sheriff’s office says Ballard forged stolen checks and cashed them on two occasions late last year at the Crofton Bestway.
Ballard reportedly received a total of $375 cash from the two transactions.
