Christian County had to go to two overtimes to defeat Hopkinsville in the 8th district girls title game 61-51. The Lady Tigers led by six at halftime and as many as 10 points in the second half before the Lady Colonels rallied for the win.
Aaliyah Hampton led Christian County with 29 points, 28 of them in the second half with Trinity McGee adding 13 and Bianna Snorton with 11 as the Lady Colonels improved to 16-12.
Hopkinsville was led in scoring by Bre Oldham with 13 points with Yogi McKnight, Jayla Rose and Jakiyah Hinton each adding 10 as the Lady Tigers fell to 17-14. Both teams will play in the Girls 2nd region tournament that begins Wednesday night at Crittenden County.
