Madisonville man arrested for meth trafficking

Police in Madisonville on Wednesday morning arrested a man on methamphetamine trafficking charges.

Detectives with the Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit saw 25-year old Terrance Ray of Madisonville at 120 East Center Street and knew him to be a suspect in a drug trafficking investigation.

Controlled purchases had reportedly been done involving Ray and he allegedly sold just over 30 grams of meth in close proximity to Browning Springs Middle School.

Ray was arrested without incident Wednesday and charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school.
