A Union County Jail inmate walked away from a work detail Thursday.
Kentucky State Police says 40-year old Jason Stangel of Uniontown was serving time for non-violent crimes and was working with a crew in the Whispering Meadows area when he walked away between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Stangel is sought for escape and anyone knowing his whereabouts should call KSP at 1-800-222-5555.
